This must be the worst week for Gordon Brown since he became Prime Minister. We've seen his Chancellor squirming over the fiasco of Northern Rock, we've seen millions of people's personal details lost by HMRC and today we've seen former chiefs of defence staff describe how much the armed forces are underfunded. This incompetence is clearly reflected in the opinion polls as the most recent one puts the Conservatives on 41%, Labour on 32% and the Lib Dems on 14%. Go on Gordon call that General Election as soon as possible.
