Late as usual.
The 'real' summer - that is the one that coincides with the six weeks of the school holidays - was littered with lots of rain and few instances of the sun.
Despite this, numbers on the rail service stood up rather well and travelling across Pembrokeshire in the months of July and August, I was pleasantly happy with how many people were taking the children to Tenby, enjoying the delights of Pembroke and its castle, catching the train down to Haverfordwest to see family and friends; or heading up to Cardiff, Manchester or London.
The trains may have gotten quieter since the schools went back, but many people are still enjoying the joys of a late summer down in Pembrokeshire. Let the train take the strain and transport you around.
