for tonight's Rugby World Cup game against Wales.
By train? Yes, if they had been in Japan or France, where the Shinkansen and TGV provide a high speed service which the airlines cannot compete with.
Mega High speed train lines (going in excess of 175 mph) have never really been the way in the UK, let alone Wales. Why, well with the towns and cities relatively close to one another compared to France and Germany, the benefits of high speed above 175 mph is negated by having stop every 15 to 20 miles.
However, in case you were wondering the trains that serve parts of PEmbrokeshire still do get up to a fast speed - trains to PEmrbokeshire reach up to 75mph between Carmarthen and Haverfordwst - leaving behind the cars travelling on the adjacent A40. As I've said on this blog before, you can get to London in around four and a half hours - something you'd not achieve in your Ford Ka
As to the future, there is a growing discussion about the value of High Speed Trains to the UK. One suggestion is that a line should be built between London and Swansea allowing you to travel between the two in two hours. With that in mind who knows what kind of rail service Pembrokeshire will get in the future?
