VOLUNTEERS at Transition Cafe in Fishguard said a tearful goodbye to their co-ordinator earlier this month.
Tracey Whistance has been with the cafe right from the beginning and has seen it go from strength to strength in reducing the amount of surplus food sent to landfill.
She will be taking up a post with Pembroke 21C, managing areas of community woodland donated by the Port Authority.
Speaking at her leaving do, Tracey said: "It's a dream job that I could not resist.
“I have loved being here, it is very difficult to say goodbye".
The cafe has since welcomed its new co-ordinator Gabrielle Sloane, who brings fresh talent and energy to the venture and a focus on climate change.
A climate change lunch was held at the cafe last Friday to coincide with a weekend of international action which urged world leaders to stop mining fossil fuels.
