A Milford Haven man sentenced for downloading child sex abuse images was at it again just a few months later, a judge heard this afternoon (Friday).

Thomas Lee John had been made the subject of a sexual offences prevention order in July, 2012, after police found 5,015 indecent images on his computer.

John, of Haven Drive, admitted at the time 21 offences of possessing and distributing indecent images of children.

Swansea crown court heard how he had found a way of storing the images on a website that other paedophiles could access.

John, aged 24, was arrested again in November, 2013, and police discovered that within months of being sentenced John had downloaded more indecent images.

Today, he admitted three offences of making indecent images of children and one of breaching the sexual offences prevention order.

Judge Paul Thomas said he would sentence John only after police had again examined his present computer to see if he had continued offending since his arrest almost a year ago.

Judge Thomas said he also wanted an explanation as to why it had taken so long to get John into court.

Dean Pulling, prosecuting, said on the latest occasions John had used a tool to try and disguise his internet browsing activity.

But experts found he had used search terms such as “young nudist boys.”

His barrister, Georgina Buckley, said John now felt physically sick at the thought of viewing such material.

Judge Thomas said his browsing activity showed that “he had had six months treatment and was still doing it.”

And he had taken “sophisticated” steps to try and cover his tracks.

John was remanded in custody and will be sentenced in early November.
