A man in difficulty in the water off Llanstadwell was pulled to safety by a member of the public this afternoon.

Angle lifeboat, South Pembrokeshire Sector manager and paramedics were called to the incident shortly after 2pm.

Once on scene it was reported that the casualty had been assisted ashore by a member of the public.

The lifeboat’s Y boat was deployed and went ashore to assess whether any medical attention was needed.

While the crew was carrying out the assessments, an ambulance arrived and the casualty was handed over to the ambulance personnel.

The lifeboat’s Y Boat was recovered back to the all weather boat which returned to station at 3.03pm.
