THE 14th Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare) will welcome the public to their Brawdy base on Saturday, August 1.

They are hosting the annual open day at the Cawdor Barracks, with all proceeds going to the Royal Signals Benevolent fund and Withybush Hospital Special Needs and Parents (SNAP) programme.

The day will also be a chance for the soldiers' family and friends to see what they do, and for the local community to be thanked for their continued support.

Running from 10am to 5pm, the main events include The Knights of Middle England, which feature expert horsemen and women who specialise in medieval jousting and stunt/trick riding.

The Confederate and Union Re-enactment Society will be building a tented camp identical to one that they would have lived in back in the American Civil War, as well as firing some of the weapons that were used.

There will also be displays from the signals themselves, the ever popular Pembrokeshire Falconry, BWY Canine which will be demonstrating the incredible capability of their sniffer dogs and their ability to detect drugs, explosives and firearms.

Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club will also be in attendance with a number of vintage cars. Many of the members have direct links to Brawdy and have worked on camp over the years.

In addition there will be stalls, refreshments, a fun dog show by SPPOT and children’s entertainment.

Entrance to the open day is £3 for adults and £1 for children.
