A POLICE officer was taken to Morriston hospital by helicopter last night, July 30, after being injured at Pembroke Dock railway station.
Police had been called to the town’s railway station following reports youngsters were on the line.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: “At approximately 7.30pm last night, police received reports of youths on the train tracks in Pembroke Dock, and were concerned for their safety.
“Officers attended the scene, and whilst making enquiries an officer was injured whilst trying to manoeuvre over a fence.
“The officer was conveyed to Morriston hospital by the force helicopter, where he remains for treatment.
“British Transport Police is investigating the concerns in relation to youths on the tracks, although no youths were located at the scene.”
