FISHGUARD and Goodwick RNLI lifeboat crew recently presented Mike Thomas with a framed photo of the lifeboat in recognition of his long standing volunteer work for the station.
He was invited to join the Fishguard RNLI Lifeboat Management Committee in 1985 and became treasurer for the Fishguard Lifeboat Station in 2001, continuing in this voluntary role until his recent retirement.
To mark the occasion, the framed photo was presented to Mr Thomas by Fishguard RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager David Williams at a presentation evening attended by the volunteer crew at Fishguard Bay Yacht Club.
David (Doc) Davies made a brief speech of thanks and said: “As well as thanking Mike on behalf of Fishguard RNLI Lifeboat Management Group for his service to the RNLI and Fishguard RNLI lifeboat over close on 30 years, I would like to thank him for the help he has given me personally as chairman over the last 19 years.”
