ANOTHER public meeting will be held in Solva this month over secondary education shake-up plans.

The additional information session follows public request, and will take place in Solva Memorial Hall on Tuesday, October 20, between 6pm and 7.30pm.

Spaces are limited so people are advised to book in advance by phoning 01437 764551.

It forms part of a statutory consultation on a review of secondary education in the Fishguard and St Davids areas.

It supersedes previous statutory consultation and puts forward the following modified proposals.

• Designate Ysgol Bro Gwaun as a 11-16 school and to provide additional ALN provision for pupils with complex learning needs

• Discontinue Ysgol Dewi Sant, Ysgol Bro Dewi VA and Solva CP School and establish a new 3-16 Church in Wales Voluntary Aided or Voluntary Controlled school on the sites of Ysgol Bro Dewi and Ysgol Dewi Sant

• Provide post 16 provision for the above Schools in a new sixth form centre as part of a formal collaboration between the County Council and Pembrokeshire College.

The statutory consultation document and a response form are available on the council's website at www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/haveyoursay.

The closing date for responses is Wednesday, October 28.
