The press and public were excluded from today's (Monday’s) cabinet meeting as members sought to discuss Haverfordwest’s 29 High Street in relation to the Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI).

The THI aims to regenerate the heart of the county town through building conservation.

The public was excluded under section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972. Council leader Jamie Adams stated that it was the opinion of the director of development, Steven Jones, that the discussion should be held in private, as the ensuing discussion was likely to disclose exempt information.

All cabinet members voted to exclude the press and public before the discussion took place.
