A Haverfordwest man has been told today (Friday) that a prison sentence was a “distinct probability” after he admitted two sexual offences against a teenage girl.
Stephen David Evans, aged 57, appeared before Judge Peter Heywood at Swansea crown court for a plea hearing.
Evans, of Slade Park, off Slade Lane, admitted one offence of enticing a child under the age of 16 to engage in sexual activity.
Evans also admitted another similar offence.
Evans was ordered to register with the police as a sex offender before leaving the court room.
Judge Heywood will sentence Evans on August 24 once a probation officer has prepared a report into his background.
Judge Heywood said he accepted there had been “many issues” in Evans’ life at the time of the offending but a prison sentence was still the most likely outcome.
Evans was granted bail meanwhile.
