NEYLAND and District Sea Angling club members met at the weekend for a rover match, it was a good turnout for a bank holiday.

Members left Neyland Quay at noon to go to their favourite spot to fish the six hour match, on return to Neyland by 8pm that’s when the scales closed.

All fish were duly measured and weighed and returned to the sea. Taking first place for the second match running was secretary Pat Beisly, with the heaviest bag, in second spot was Bernie Davies, with the second heaviest bag; he also won the pool for the heaviest fish in his bag of fish.

Third place who has been absent in the ratings of late was Steve Tate.

The club thanks the adjudicators, also thanks to Claire the photographer.

The next match is at Pendine on September 7, fishing 11am-4pm. Book in by 10am before driving on the beach.

The monthly meeting is on Thursday, September 4, starting at 7.30pm at Neyland Yacht Club where 2015 venue list will be discussed.
