Hakin United 8

Angle 1

HOT-shot striker Nicky Woodrow bagged four goals for league leaders Hakin United against Angle at The Obs.

The champions led 3-1 at half time and added five further goals in the second period to ensure the champions go top of the table on better goal-difference than Herbrandston.

Manager Gary Dawes will be pleased that his Vikings outfit kept their 100% winning record, considering they had Steve Allen, Andrew Kingston, Gareth Fawcett, Nigel Banner and skipper Ewan Findlay missing from the starting line-up.

Woodrow opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the fifth minute. Ten minutes later and Steve Mathias waltzed through the defence for the second.

Chris Richards pulled one back for the visitors, but the Vikings responded as Justin Harding slotted home the third.

After the break it was one-way traffic as the Vikings dominated. Matthew Broome made no mistake with the fourth; Woodrow added two goals in the space of five minutes to complete his hat-trick. Adam Davies was put through for the seventh and Woodrow added a eighth to complete a good day at the office for the champions.
