FAW Trophy – Round 2:
Johnston 7
Bonymaen Colts 1
THE Tigers roared to an emphatic seven-goal cup victory against Bonymaen Colts at The Glebelands Ground and reach the third round.
Bonymaen Colts are sitting second from bottom in the Swansea League Division One, winning just one league game from five outings.
The Tigers took full advantage of that poor record as they eased into the next round with a comfortable win that pleased manager Jamie Picton.
Ryan Doyle, Adam Hawkins and Andrew Murray scored two goals each alongside a terrific strike by Luke Hayward. The visitors replied with a consolation goal by Liam Woods, and Tigers keeper was also a cup hero as he pulled off two stunning penalty saves to deny the visitors adding to their goal tally.
