Young archers win medals at Welsh junior event
THREE Counties Archery juniors based at St Clears Leisure Centre, under their coach, Dai Davies, gained three gold medals at the Welsh Junior Archery Competition held in Builth Wells.
Sophie and Jessica Marshall, won gold at their first indoor competition, a massive achievement as there was a much tenser atmosphere than at club practice. Sophie won the girls’ under-14 barebow and Jess the under-12 barebow in some style.
Sam Meredith retained his boys’ under-12 Recurve title with a personal best score of 387, which gained him the Dyfed record and he has has invited to attend coaching at the Welsh Institute of Sport in December.
