Angle 1

Goodwick United 2

RHYS Dalling scored a late winner to secure a hard fought victory for Goodwick United at Marble Hall.

Dalling scored with a terrific header as the semi was finely poised at 1-1, his winner ensured Nigel Delaney’s team will play in next week’s final at the Bridge Meadow against Neyland.

United took the lead in the 15th minute through a Scott Delaney header, five minutes before the break Chris Richards equalised with a close range effort for underdogs Angle.

The second half saw Goodwick get on top and were unlucky not to extend their lead when Jonny Horgan struck a fizzing drive that cannoned off the crossbar.

Dalling bagged the winner in the 80th minute planting a firm header into the back of the net to cruelly deny courageous Angle their place in the final.

Angle was then reduced to ten-men when goalkeeper Luke Lawrence was sent off for deliberately taking out Dalling outside the area.

Goodwick United boss Nigel Delaney was mighty relieved at the final whistle but is now focussing on beating the Nomads in the final.

Neyland 2

Narberth 1

NEYLAND scored two early second half goals to secure victory over Narberth at Monkton Lane.

After a goalless first period things certainly livened up in front of goal in the second period.

The Nomads opened the scoring in the 50th minute through Wayne Parry, the striker hitting a low right footed shot into the back of John Durbridge’s net.

Five minutes later and the Nomads went two-up - Gary Power hitting a powerful shot that deflected off defender Justin Blewitt and wrong-footed goalkeeper John Durbridge.

In the 85th minute Ashley Williams gave Narberth a glimmer of hope as he headed in from inside the box to set-up a nervous finale.

The Nomads kept their composure until the final whistle to record a brilliant victory and make history by becoming the first Neyland team to reach a Senior Cup final where they will take on red-hot favourites Goodwick United.
