Hook (89 all out) lost to Cresselly 2nds (254 for 8) by 165 runs

CRESSELLY Seconds showed just why they are second in the Division Two table with this crushing win at Hook where Scott Arthur and Nick Davies set the tone with a boundary laden partnership 130 runs, both reaching their 50s at about the same time and having run only five singles!

Davies eventually departed for 76 (11 fours and three sixes), whilst Arthur motored past three figures with 17 fours and two sixes to his name before Alex bailey (16) and Tom Arthur (17) added a few more as only two Hook bowlers were successful, with Brennan Martin claiming 4 for 49 and Jamie Phelps grabbing 4 for 47.

But Hook struggled after tea with the bat as only Phelps (14) and Matthew John (20) managed double figures against Tom Arthur (2 for 17), Matthew Webb (2 for 21), Ollie Richards (3 for 15) and Matthew Lewis (2 for 31) and the home faithful were left scratching their heads about when Hook previously lost at home by such a big margin.
