Local professional triathlete Oliver Simon has been in great form of late - winning the Swansea Sprint Triathlon, eighth at Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire, before winning again at the Titan Brecon Triathlon.

But there is no respite, as he prepares to finish off the month with Ironman Austria this weekend.

"I have had a busy month in June as there are so many races to choose from this time of year," Simon told Telegraph Sport.

"I have got some good results and tried to recover inbetween events, while getting exposure at races for sponsors as a reward for helping me afford to race.

"Ironman Austria is up next and I have been helped out with funding from Steve at AB Rogers and Sons, who has helped me before and will also be travelling with me to Klagenfurt to race."

Ironman Austria is regarded as one of the fastest races on the circuit, and has a reputation as one of the best Ironman events going.

"I looked at this race early in the season and wanted to get a big race in before competing at the local Long Course Weekend.

"My goals are to improve on my Welsh record of eight hours 34 minutes, and that should get me in to the top 10."

"I am very grateful to AB Rogers and Sons for supporting my travel and will try to make the most of the experience."
