There was mix-up between the Swifts keeper and his defender that resulted in an own goal for the third. Howells netted his second of the game for the fourth in the 80th minute, the striker drilling into an empty net from 18 yards out.

Narberth 4-3 Milford Utd

Tony Evans scored four cracking goals for Narberth who narrowly defeated Milford United at Jesse Road.

With the score level at 3-3, striker Evans smashed home the winner with virtually the last kick of the game to break the Robins’ hearts.

The game was also held up due to a nasty injury to Narberth’s Liam Phillips, the midfielder looked to have dislocated his knee and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Telegraph Sport wishes him a speedy recovery.

The hosts led 1-0 at half time, Evans made no mistake with a penalty, ten minutes after the break and the Bluebirds extended their lead, as Evans applied the finishing touch.

The Robins pulled a goal back with powerful header at a corner by centre back Will Goodall, but again Evans struck for his hat-trick to put Narberth 3-1 ahead.

But the Robins mounted a serious fightback, Goodall headed in his second goal, again it stemmed from a corner. Then Josh Smart equalised from a cross, incredibly scoring with his side’s third headed goal of the game.

In the last minute Evans buried the winner that secured Narberth their third win of the season from five starts, as Milford United have won just one league game from five.

West Dragons 1-4 Hakin Utd

Hakin United moved to the top of the table after gaining a convincing victory over West Dragons at the Pavilion Ground.

This was rightly billed the game of the day, both teams came into this clash unbeaten, and it was the Vikings who stayed unbeaten to go two points clear at the top of the table.

The visitors built up a two-goal cushion at half time, prolific goal scorer Nicky Woodrow lashed home the opener from close range.

Daniel Armstrong added a second goal, the centre back rising highest in the box and powerfully headed in from a corner that flew in off the underside of Dragons’ goalkeeper Peter Blain’s crossbar.

The second half was much the same, and Kristan Bennett’s Vikings were good value as they went three-up, this time Ben Aldred lashing the ball into the back of the net.

Matthew Price’s Dragons failed to get a hold on the game, and matters got worse when Ben Steele beat a couple of defenders and drilled the ball into the far corner for goal number four.

With the victory and points in the bag, the Vikings conceded a late consolation goal, substitute Nathan Greene credited with the finishing touch.

Even at this early stage of the season the Vikings look a strong bet to lift the title, they are consistent and have the experience to go all the way.
