The South Pembrokeshire Friendly League 23/24 has crowned its short mat bowls champions.
After 22 weeks of matches, East Williamston Short Mat Bowls Club secured victory, concluding the season nearly 30 points ahead of second-place club, The Badgers.
Club captain, Theresa Painting remains upbeat.
She commended the hardworking team who held practice twice a week throughout the preceding summer, attributing these efforts to the exceptional gameplay exhibited this season.
Ms Painting acknowledged the four recent additions to the club, appreciating their prompt improvement and importance in preserving the sport's presence in Pembrokeshire.
Following its league triumph, East Williamston has been slated to participate in the Chairmans Challenge Trophy on April 27, pitted against a team comprised of other club's top players.
East Williamston SMBC, always open to new players, hosts practice sessions at the village hall every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.
